Abdel Mahdi al-Wuheidi, an 85-year-old resident of the Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza, lives amidst the ruins of his partially destroyed home. A survivor of the 1948 Nakba, he recalls his childhood in Bir al-Saba, from which his family was expelled. He states that the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza today surpasses anything he has ever experienced, as he lives with his wife Aziza and the sons of his deceased brother.
