Jigawa urges media to boost immunisation awareness, tackle vaccine refusal

Jigawa State has urged the media to enhance public awareness campaigns on the importance of immunisation to eliminate non-compliance. State Immunisation Officer Dr. Shehu Ibrahim reported that about 2.5 million children under five were vaccinated in the latest campaign, achieving 116% of the target. Despite these efforts, cases of vaccine refusal continue in some areas, with 5,421 non-compliance cases recorded, leaving 471 unresolved.
