African Nations to Benefit From China's Two-Year Zero-Tariff Regime

Starting May 1, 2026, China will implement zero-tariff treatment for all African countries with diplomatic relations, lasting until April 30, 2028. This follows the granting of zero-tariff treatment on 100% of tariff lines since December 1, 2024, for 33 least developed African countries. The inclusion of an additional 20 African nations demonstrates China's commitment to mutually beneficial economic cooperation.
