Crisis looms in Kano NDC over alleged structure takeover

A fresh crisis is brewing in the Kano chapter of the New Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). Foundation members accuse the party's presidential running mate for 2027, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, of hijacking party structures and excluding other members from elective opportunities. An earlier agreement allocated 60% of the party structure to Kwankwaso and 40% to the leadership, but he allegedly refused to distribute nomination forms to members outside his political movement.
