The International Criminal Court ordered Al Hassan Ag Abdoul Aziz Ag Mohamed Ag Mahmoud to pay 7.2 million euros in reparations for atrocities committed in Timbuktu. Found guilty of torture and religious persecution, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. The reparations will be paid by the Trust Fund for Victims, as Al Hassan was declared indigent.
