Garissa-Isiolo Road Under LAPSSET Project is 64% Complete, Ministry Says

The Ministry of Roads and Transport announced that the 160 km Garissa-Isiolo road project is 64.26% complete. This A10 classified road is part of the LAPSSET program and aims to connect Kenya to Ethiopia. The project is also creating jobs for young people, with the workforce increasing from 168 to 225 in January 2026. The road is part of a larger 580 km corridor linking Lamu to Isiolo, facilitating regional trade in East Africa.
