Gaza at the Venice Biennale: Where language falls short, threads take over

The Gaza Genocide Tapestry, co-curated by Jehan Alfarra, will be displayed at the Venice Biennale. This art project brings together Palestinian women in occupied Palestine and refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan to document Gaza's destruction in real time. Their stories aim to capture the magnitude of the horrors experienced, as words often feel inadequate to describe the ongoing suffering and loss. A significant event highlighted is the burial of 111 unidentified bodies in a mass grave, illustrating the ongoing human tragedy.
