Gbenga Hashim urges labour to be active in saving Nigeria's Democracy

Former presidential candidate Dr. Gbenga Hashim urged the Nigerian labour movement to take a more active role in safeguarding the country's democracy from a gradual slide toward authoritarianism. During a visit to Nigeria Labour Congress President Joe Ajero, he emphasized the historical contributions of the working class to Nigeria's political and social transformations. Hashim warned that democracy risks losing its value if the welfare of citizens, particularly workers, is neglected.
