GIABA / 2025 Report: Bamako, Ouaga and Abuja leave FATF gray list, Abidjan remains

The GIABA published its 2025 annual report, acknowledging progress by Mali, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria, which left the FATF gray list. Abidjan, however, remains on the list. The institution adopted a new FATF mechanism to correct unintended consequences of standards on the non-profit sector. The delistings were made possible by GIABA's technical support and the political will of the concerned states.
