Gladys Wanga Reiterates ODM Will Take 50 Per Cent in Power-Sharing Talks With UDA

Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga indicated that the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) might front Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho as its preferred candidate for Deputy President in a future political arrangement with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ahead of the 2027 General Election. Wanga emphasized that coalition negotiations would be conducted as equal partners, with a 50-50 seat sharing agreement. She also criticized opposition leaders, including former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, for invoking the late Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
