Gonzagueville, Anani, Adjahui Coubé: Mayor Emmou Sylvestre declares war on unsanitary conditions

The mayor of Port-Bouët, Dr. Emmou Sylvestre, launches a massive sanitation and cleanliness campaign across the municipality, backed by a new municipal decree (No. 005-2026/CPB/SG) strictly regulating sanitation. An awareness campaign runs from July 8 to 16, 2026, in the neighborhoods of Anani, Amamou, Deux-Plateaux, Abraham, Santé, Cocoteraie, and Adjahui Coubé. Joint teams from the Directorate of Environment and Sustainable Development (DEDD) and neighborhood/village management committees (CGQ/CGV) are on the ground to inform residents and identify priority areas. The new decree imposes fines for illegal dumping and wastewater discharge.
