GOPA Tech wins CFA384 million contract to develop Cameroon's national electrification strategy

Cameroon's government has awarded German firm GOPA Tech GmbH a CFA384 million contract (incl. tax) to develop a new national electrification strategy. The contract, signed on June 11, 2026, follows a quality- and cost-based selection procedure compliant with World Bank rules. The execution period is six months. GOPA Tech will propose trade-offs between grid extension, mini-grids, and standalone solar systems.
