Gout Gout, 18, shatters Usain Bolt's U20 record in 200m

Australian Gout Gout set a new U20 world record in the 200 meters at 19.67 seconds during the National Athletics Championships in Sydney, surpassing Usain Bolt's previous record of 19.93 seconds. At 18 years old, Gout Gout is also the first Australian athlete to run under 20 seconds in legal wind conditions. He plans to participate in the U20 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, where he will still be eligible in the junior category.
