Govt to Acquire Land for Proposed Nithi River Bridge Realignment

The National Land Commission (NLC) announced plans to acquire land in Meru County for the realignment of the Nithi River Bridge along the Makutano-Embu-Meru Road. A notice published on May 15 states that 50 parcels of land, totaling 10.51 hectares, will be affected, impacting agricultural and residential areas. Simultaneously, a separate notice was issued for land acquisition in Homa Bay County for the realignment of the Homa Bay-Rongo Road and the expansion of Kabunde Airstrip.
