Maritime Affairs Strike: 1 Injured and 27 Agents Arrested, Union Escalates

On Monday, June 8, 2026, striking Maritime Affairs agents were arrested, resulting in one injured and 27 detained, according to SYNABEPAM. The union is demanding payment of the housing contribution allowance (ICL) promised in 2022 by President Ouattara. Several union leaders are among those arrested.
