Guinea: In Conakry, literature is much more than a passion

At the opening of the 18th edition of the 72h du Livre festival, Conakry showcased that literature is a culture and heritage. Designated as the World Book Capital by UNESCO in 2017, the city was integrated into the Creative Cities of Literature network in 2025. This year, the festival even expanded to Forecariah, marking its first relocation.
