2027: Tinubu's group to meet Ohanaeze, Anyaoku to beg Obi to step down

The Southeast chapter of the Renewed Hope for Greater Nigeria (RHGN) plans to persuade former Anambra State governor Peter Obi to withdraw from the 2027 presidential race and support President Bola Tinubu's re-election. Mazi Franklin Ngoforo stated that the group would approach Ohanaeze Ndigbo and elder statesmen like Chief Emeka Anyaoku to lead a delegation to Obi. The aim is to encourage Obi to prioritize the long-term strategic interests of the Igbo over his immediate presidential ambitions.
