Pakistan sends fighter jets to Saudi Arabia amid fragile US-Iran ceasefire

Pakistan has deployed fighter jets to Saudi Arabia, marking its first visible military move under a mutual defense pact signed in September 2025. The aircraft landed at King Abdulaziz Air Base as Pakistan hosted direct negotiations between the United States and Iran in Islamabad. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar warned Iranian leaders that Pakistan was bound by its obligations to Riyadh while securing assurances that Saudi territory would not be used to attack Iran.
