Kenyan authorities confirmed a ninth Ebola case, a 24-year-old man and close family member of the first patient who tested positive on Monday. He was already in quarantine when he fell ill and was isolated and treated as soon as his positive result was confirmed. All nine cases belong to the same cluster, with no reported transmission outside it; 134 of 135 identified contacts have been traced and quarantined. The United States urged its citizens to reconsider travel to Kenya, while the outbreak in the DRC has exceeded 9,000 cases and caused 4,381 deaths.
