Ozone Layer Protection: Côte d'Ivoire Presents Its Progress and Goals for 2030

On the occasion of the International Day for the Protection of the Ozone Layer, Environment Minister Abou Bamba presented measures taken by Côte d'Ivoire since 2010, including the elimination of harmful substances and a 67.5% reduction in HCFC consumption. The government plans to train 1,000 customs agents and 2,000 refrigeration technicians by 2030, along with the establishment of new Centers of Excellence. An investment of approximately one million US dollars was also announced to enhance the digitalization of the control of regulated substances.
