The special prosecutor at CRIET demanded 12 months imprisonment and a 2 million CFA fine for a midwife and two nurse aides at the Toui Gare health center, accused of selling unapproved medicines from Nigeria. The midwife supplied and distributed the drugs while the aides sold them to patients; the midwife kept all proceeds and paid each aide 5,000 CFA per sale. A verdict is expected in July 2026.
