Ruto Secures 1,000 Jobs for Kenyans in Norway by 2030

Kenyan President William Ruto announced an agreement with Norwegian shipping companies to employ at least 1,000 Kenyan seafarers by 2030, including 120 by the end of 2026. The deal includes commitments from Wilhelmsen Ship Management and other firms. Ruto also discussed cooperation on green shipping and creating trade corridors between Kenya and Norway. This announcement follows Ksh 20.9 billion in investments secured in Belgium.
