Hausa community seeks development of larger settlement in Abia

The leader of the Hausa community in Aba, Sariki Bello Shehu II, presented the challenges facing his community to the Abia State government, requesting the development of a larger settlement along the Osioma axis to accommodate a mosque, market, schools, and residential facilities. He noted that increasing worshippers cause traffic congestion during Friday prayers. He praised Governor Alex Otti and his Chief of Staff Caleb Ajagba for their intervention in recent security incidents. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Uzor Nwachukwu assured that the administration does not discriminate based on tribe, religion, or social background.
