Andrew was sub-letting Royal Lodge cottages, NAO report reveals

The National Audit Office (NAO) revealed that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor received undisclosed rental income from sub-letting three cottages on the Royal Lodge estate leased from the Crown Estate. The report also showed that the King pays the rent for palace accommodation for Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, a arrangement criticized by former minister Norman Baker. Andrew paid £7.5m for repairs when taking the lease, avoiding monthly rent. The NAO report was prompted by the scandal surrounding Andrew and will be followed by a parliamentary inquiry.
