Anglican bishop warns FG against enlisting repentant Boko Haram members into Nigerian Army

Rt Rev. Emmanuel Maduwike, the Anglican Bishop of Ikeduru, advised the Federal Government against recruiting repentant Boko Haram members into the Nigerian Army, highlighting the current severe security situation. He expressed concerns about military intelligence leaks to insurgents and called for an inquiry into allegations that soldiers were ordered to retreat during operations against Boko Haram. Maduwike also suggested considering other avenues, such as skill acquisition and education, for repentant terrorists.
