Iran-USA Accord: President Pezeshkian Reveals the Details of the Agreement

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Thursday, June 18, posted on X the text of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States, signed the previous day. Called the Islamabad Memorandum, the 14-point agreement establishes an immediate cessation of hostilities, the lifting of the US naval blockade within 30 days, and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. It also includes the gradual lifting of sanctions, release of frozen Iranian assets, and a $300 billion reconstruction plan.
