Five Ogun varsity students rescued after abduction

Five students of Gateway Polytechnic in Sapade, Ogun State, were abducted by armed criminals while returning to their hostel after buying food. The police confirmed their rescue on April 28, 2026, following a rescue operation conducted by tactical units. The victims were evacuated and given medical attention due to conditions sustained during captivity. Law enforcement continues operations to track down the fleeing abductors.
