The IMF has approved a new $250 million financing program for Rwanda, with an immediate disbursement of $35.7 million under a three-year Extended Credit Facility (ECF). The program aims to sustain reforms, support macroeconomic adjustment, and manage the impact of the Middle East war. Rwanda's economy grew 9.4% in 2025 but is expected to slow to below 6.8% in 2026 due to inflationary pressures and high energy and fertilizer costs.
