How mafia fought to frustrate $20bn Dangote Petroleum Refinery — Dangote

Aliko Dangote, President of the Dangote Group, alleged that influential fuel importers tried to block the establishment of the $20 billion refinery. He stated that these entrenched interests feared the refinery would alter trade flows that encouraged massive importation of refined petroleum products into Nigeria. Despite the challenges, Dangote pushed ahead with the project launched in 2013 to strengthen Nigeria's and Africa's energy security.
