IG Kanja Appoints Johana Kiplangat as GSU Commandant in Latest Leadership Changes

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja has appointed Assistant Inspector General Johana Kiplangat Tonui as the new Commandant of the General Service Unit (GSU). Tonui, a recipient of the Head of State Commendation, succeeds AIG Fredrick Egesa Nyongesa, who becomes Deputy Commandant of the GSU. Additionally, AIG Paul Maingo Mumo, decorated with the Moran of the Burning Spear, has been appointed Director of the Internal Affairs Unit. The changes, approved by the National Police Service Board, take immediate effect.
