Hydrocarbons: SNH plans to revive the Zina-Makary oil block, halted since 2014

After more than ten years of interruption, the National Hydrocarbons Company (SNH) plans to revive oil activities in the Zina-Makary block, located in the Far North of Cameroon. A special operations committee is expected to lift the force majeure imposed since May 2014, thus allowing the resumption of exploration work in the Logone Birni basin. This project had been halted due to the deteriorating security situation in the region.
