The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, revealed that he endured emotional pain and public criticism due to delays in having children after ascending the throne. He expressed joy over the birth of twin princes by one of his wives, Queen Mariam, while noting the pressures he faced to fulfill royal marital responsibilities. Oba Ogunwusi also thanked First Lady Sen Oluremi Tinubu for her support during difficult times.
