White House withdraws Lance Schroyer’s nomination to lead ICE

The White House has withdrawn the nomination of Lance Schroyer, a former Oklahoma state trooper, to lead ICE without providing a reason. Schroyer, a senior adviser to Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, was nominated by Donald Trump in June but had yet to receive a hearing before the Senate committee. Senator Rand Paul refused to hold a hearing until DHS provided information on civilian deaths during ICE operations.
