Iran: Where is Mojtaba Khamenei? Pezeshkian claims to have met him for seven hours

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated he spent about seven hours with Mojtaba Khamenei during a meeting a month ago in New York. He confirmed personally seeing Khamenei, describing him as fully capable of performing his duties despite his prolonged public absence. The meeting, previously mentioned in August, involved discussions on domestic and international issues, including economic and social challenges and sanctions. Mojtaba Khamenei, who succeeded his father Ali Khamenei in March 2026, has not appeared publicly since his appointment, and his physical condition remains unknown.
