Hundreds of captives freed from Boko Haram mountain hideout

At least 360 people kidnapped by Boko Haram in March from Borno state have been freed from a mountain hideout. The Nigerian army claims a surprise rescue operation, while a local group, the Borno South Youth Initiative, says it mediated an unconditional release, citing 416 freed. Two infants died from exhaustion. The captives are from Ngoshe, near Cameroon.
