DRC: General control of party halls ordered after deadly fire in Kinshasa

The Congolese Deputy Prime Minister for the Interior, Jacquemain Shabani, has ordered a systematic inspection of party halls following a deadly fire in Kinshasa that resulted in about ten deaths and several injuries. The fire occurred at the Panacée party hall, where evacuation issues and a lack of emergency exits were reported. An investigation is underway to determine the causes of the fire, and a report on the situation is expected within 15 days.
