Tawamba-Baboke case: Journalist predicts a major defeat for the deputy civil cabinet director’s wife

Cameroonian journalist Benjamin Zebaze questions whether Crescence Baboke will prevail in her land dispute with Célestin Tawamba over a plot in Mfandena, Yaoundé. A real-estate civil company linked to Tawamba, president of Gecam, claims a land title that predates the administrative allocation granted to Baboke. Zebaze criticizes the involvement of the Ministry of State Property, Surveys and Land Tenure and warns that challenging land titles could alarm ordinary citizens. He says Baboke may win the immediate battle but lose the war against Tawamba, whom he portrays as a determined and influential opponent.
