New tuberculosis vaccines, expected to be available from 2029, could save up to 7.3 million lives between 2030 and 2050 and generate up to $135 billion in economic benefits for low- and middle-income countries. Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, emphasizes the need for immediate action to ensure sufficient and affordable supply in high-burden countries. Gavi CEO Dr. Sania Nishtar stated that these vaccines could become a groundbreaking immunization tool.
