IEBC Sets July 16 Date for Ol Kalou Constituency By-Election

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) announced that the Ol Kalou Constituency by-election in Nyandarua County will take place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, following the vacancy created by the death of MP David Njuguna Kiaraho. National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula officially declared the seat vacant on April 20, 2026. Ten candidates have already come forward to vie for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket, while the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) has at least nine candidates competing for its nomination.
