The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has raised concerns over increasing vandalism of power transmission infrastructure in Niger State. During a community engagement in Lambata, the General Manager of the Abuja Region, Engr. Musa Shuaibu, disclosed that about 14 spans of conductors on the 132kV transmission line were recently vandalised, with repairs costing about N32 million. He warned that the attacks disrupt power supply, threaten economic activities, and pose safety risks. TCN called on traditional rulers, vigilante groups, and security agencies to help protect critical national assets.
