‘They were laughing’: Israel’s use of rape and sexual abuse in prisons | Investigation News

Muhammad al-Bakri, a Gaza civil servant, was arrested in March 2024 and raped on April 10, 2024, during Eid al-Fitr, by six Israeli soldiers while held with seven other prisoners. Al-Bakri is among multiple former prisoners who testified for Al Jazeera's documentary 'Bodies of Evidence: Israel’s Darkest Weapon', which reveals the widespread and systematic use of rape and sexual torture by the Israeli army, as stated by ICC judges and the UN.
