Immigration PS Kipsang Announces Same-Day ID Processing in Nairobi, Up to a Week Nationwide

The government announced a major overhaul in the processing of national identity cards, allowing new applicants to receive the document in one day in Nairobi. Immigration Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang stated that processing times for applicants outside the capital have also been reduced to three to seven days. Additionally, all fees related to ID applications and replacements have been scrapped following a presidential directive.
