In Doha, Félix Tshisekedi reiterates his support for Qatari mediation for peace in the DRC

President Félix Tshisekedi met with Qatar's Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in Doha to strengthen Qatar's role as a mediator in the DRC's eastern conflict. He reaffirmed the DRC's commitment to the Qatari mediation process, which has already led to a framework agreement with the AFC/M23 group. The two leaders also exchanged mutual support regarding state sovereignty and expressed concerns over the deteriorating security situation in eastern Congo.
