In Israel, sirens freeze the country for Yom HaShoah amid rising antisemitism

Across Israel, sirens sounded at 10 a.m., freezing pedestrians and motorists, while public transport came to a halt. This day is dedicated to the memory of the six million Jews murdered during World War II. Official ceremonies took place at the Yad Vashem memorial in Jerusalem, attended by President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
