Community outrage after 15-year-old girl killed in Atlantis gang violence

A 15-year-old girl was killed on Saturday in Atlantis gang crossfire in Sherwood Park, heading home from a youth event. Angry residents marched on Sunday, calling for an alleged gang boss to surrender. Ward Councillor Allister Lightburn said this was the second teenager killed by stray bullets in months, after a 14-year-old girl was shot at school. Atlantis police are investigating murder and attempted murder.

Major-General Feroz Khan to face Madlanga inquiry

Major-General Feroz Khan, deputy head of Crime Intelligence and head of Counter and Security Intelligence, is expected to testify before the Madlanga Commission on July 1.
