INEC registers over 3.4m new voters nationwide in ongoing CVR exercise

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has recorded over 3.4 million new voters in the second phase of the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise. As of April 3, a total of 3,441,121 registrations were completed, with 2,068,384 online and 1,372,737 in-person. Youth participation, aged 18 to 34, accounts for 68.43% of new voters, while women represent 55.86% of the registrations.
