Insecurity: Makinde imposes statewide night-time ban on 'Okada' operations

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has imposed a statewide night-time ban on commercial motorcycle operations from 10:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. through Executive Order No. 002 of 2026. The ban is part of a security crackdown following the abduction of teachers and pupils in Oriire Local Government Area over 20 days ago. Unregistered vehicles will be impounded and offenders prosecuted.
