Algerian international Islam Slimani has terminated his contract with CFR Cluj just weeks before the end of the season. The club announced this separation due to severe financial difficulties, with Slimani not having received any salary since his arrival. In 16 matches with the club, he scored one goal and provided two assists. His departure had been anticipated since November, and he will not be called up for the 2025 AFCON.
