Israel says targeted head of Hamas armed wing in Gaza strike

Israel stated that it carried out a strike in Gaza targeting Ezzedine Al-Haddad, identified as the head of Hamas's armed wing. This operation is part of an extensive campaign by the Israeli military against Hamas's political and military leaders since the October 7, 2023 attack. According to the Israeli defense ministry, Al-Haddad is responsible for numerous acts of violence against Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers.
