Italy's famed Uffizi admits cyber-attack but denies security breach

The Uffizi Galleries in Florence confirmed they were subjected to a cyber-attack but denied that their security systems were compromised. According to Corriere della Sera, hackers accessed sensitive data and sent a ransom demand to museum director Simone Verde. The Uffizi stated that its security systems were inaccessible from the outside and that no passwords were stolen.
